Which deity from the Hindu pantheon do you reach out to? I am a believer of Lord Hanuman, although I come from a Sikh family. I attribute a large part of my success to my unwavering faith in Him.
How often do you pray? Every day.
And are your prayers answered? Yes, here’s a story. Anurag Kashyap had discussed Dev D with me, but the film didn’t take off for a few months. This left the entire team very anxious. I visited a Hanuman temple to pray for the film’s smooth future. I stepped out of the temple, and I get a call from Anurag saying, we are about to start production!
What means do you find to connect with God? Through the heart. I fast on Tuesdays and wear sapphire and pearl rings for good luck. I try doing what I do well, and get on with life without hurting people around me.
What role do you think godmen and gurus play? They are just one of us.
If you had the chance to play God for a day, you would... Make the world a safer place.
